This topic sprung into life during our dissertation supervision class with the Dean of INTED, Paul Gentle.We are in the middle of a battle of intellectual challenge in justifying and critizing ideas,plus the piling t.e.n.s.i.o.n of getting on track with our 'hazy' dissertation task..and suddenly,Paul brought up this notion of NIGHTMARE in the class.
So,what exactly this N.I.G.H.T.M.A.R.E. business is all about??
ahha..don't get the wrong idea.It does not exclusively points to the superficial,ghost-type stories that usually succeed in sweating a lot the 'chickens' out of their wits...but..
also refers to the WORST condition that we have to face in the process of getting our so-called 'critical' academic masterpiece done on time.Paul located about 10 minutes for us to think of the possible nightmare characters of the tutor that would supervise us in our dissertation writings.
The followings are some inputs shared in the class::
::cynical::
::shows no interest to share opinions/agrees excessively::
::too acquiscent/not engaged(vague)::
::have a very 'fixed' view on the topic::
::provides inappropriate challenge at one time::
::'unavailable' status when critically needed::
Of course,we won't like these factors to interrupt our writing process,but thats what humans are.We are not perfect,and we should realize that..deep within out heart.If we are 'fated' to deal with the above elements in future,our degree of patience and maturity would become handy to be used to its maximum potential.From there, we would learn that life is indeed a test,a stretchable journey of uphill and downhill phase.
''Sesungguhnya manusia itu lemah dan memerlukan bimbingan juga panduan agar dapat kembali ke jalan yang hak lagi lurus''.
Sama-samalah kita fikirkan.Dengan mata 'zahir' dan mata 'hati' yang memahami.
